School board race: Fowler Elementary School District

Fowler Elementary: two seats, three candidates, and a very thin public record

November 3, 2026 general election. Fowler Elementary School District serves the Laveen and southwest Phoenix area. This page is short on purpose: the three candidates' names and certification are verified from the county's official list, and almost nothing else about them is in the public record we could find. We print what is verified and label the gap rather than fill it.
How this race works: two board seats are up, both for four-year terms. Three candidates are on the ballot, all officially certified: Lisa Perez, Francisca Montoya, and Sylvia Miller. Vote for up to two; the top two win. Board service is unpaid.

What we could and could not verify

The Maricopa County School Superintendent's certified candidate list, dated August 25, 2026, is the authoritative source for who is on this ballot, and all three names above come from it. The Arizona Republic's October 2, 2026 school board guide does not profile Fowler, and spot checks in voter guides corroborate some names but provide no biographies, platforms, or forum records for these candidates. The county list does not mark incumbency, and we found no reliable source stating which, if any, of the three already serves on the board, so no one is labeled an incumbent here.

Practically: this race will be decided by voters who know the candidates through school communities. If you are a Fowler voter, site councils, school offices, and neighbors are the information network for this one, and the absence of a media record is itself worth knowing before you mark the ballot.

Verification notes

  • School board campaigns file finance reports with Maricopa County. No finance totals or campaign materials for these candidates were found in the sources we reviewed.
  • Fowler has no bond or override question on the November 2026 ballot in the county superintendent's official list of school measures.
  • If a candidate or reader can point us to a public platform or forum record for any of the three, the format of this site is to add it with its source.

How to vote without getting your ballot rejected

  • Mail it by Tuesday, October 27, 2026. After that day, do not mail it: use a drop box or a vote center instead.
  • It must be received by 7 p.m. on Election Day, Tuesday, November 3. Postmarks do not count.
  • Sign and date the affidavit envelope, and write a current phone number on it.
  • Leaving any item blank is allowed. In this race you may vote for one candidate, two, or none; it does not affect the rest of your ballot.
